CITY OF IMPERIAL: BID - Bike Facility along north side Aten Blvd.

City of Imperial recently issued the following announcement.

BID No. 2020-08

Class I and Class II Bike Facility

North side of Aten Blvd

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Imperial invites sealed bids for the above stated project and will receive such bids in the offices of the City Clerk at 420 S. Imperial Avenue, Imperial, California 92251 up to the hour of 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 03, 2020, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A bid summary will then be prepared and posted.

A Pre-Bid meeting will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the Community Development Department of the City of Imperial located at 400 South Imperial Avenue, Suite 101, Imperial, California 92251 to be followed by a Field Walkthrough at the project site.

Bids must be prepared on the approved proposal forms in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders and submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside;

The Proposal should be delivered no later than 3:00 P.M. Tuesday November 03, 2020, addressed as follows:

City of Imperial ● Community Development Department ● Engineering Division

420 S. Imperial Avenue, Imperial, CA 92251

Questions should be received no later than 4:00 P.M. Monday October 26, 2020.

Compliance with SB 854 - Contractor and subcontractor registration requirements

SB 854 requires the City, for all public works projects with bids due after March 1, 2015 or awarded on or after April 1, 2015, to use only registered contractors and subcontractors. This means that all contractors and subcontractors who bid and work on any City-awarded public works project must be registered with California Department of Industrial Relations. The registration form is located on the DIR’s website. Additional information related to SB 854 and other labor compliance requirements is available here
