City of Imperial recently issued the following announcement.
CITY OF IMPERIAL POLICE DEPARTMENT PARTNERS WITH CANCER RESOURCE CENTER OF THE DESERT FOR NO SHAVE NOVEMBER
The Imperial Police Department and Cancer Resource Center of the Desert have teamed up again to raise awareness for Cancer during “No Shave November”.
No-Shave November is a national campaign that consists of a month-long journey during which participants forgo shaving and grooming to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness. Imperial Police Officers will grow a mustache, goatee or full beard, or paint their nails bright colors donating up to $50 or more each, in addition to their monthly grooming supply cost.
Last year the Imperial Police Department, along with participating members of the community, raised $1,500.00 during the campaign. Once again, we challenge the Imperial Community to participate and help meet our goal of $2,500.00. By donating double your monthly grooming expenses, the Cancer Resource Center of the Desert can continue to facilitate free services to local patients.
