Cost of college went up for all students at CET-El Centro

Tuition and fees rose 8.2 percent for 2018-19 at CET-El Centro, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

California students paid $13,182 to attend the private not-for-profit school this year – $1,000 more than the $12,182 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 53 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 100 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.2 million and 25 students took out student loans totaling more than $152,123.

Including all undergraduates (230), 180 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2 million, and 59 students took out $361,509 in federal student loans.
