The New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls, featuring former Imperial High School standout Andrea DeLaTrinidad, posted an 11-6 win over the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets in NCAA Division II softball on Sunday, March 8, at 1 p.m.
Yellow Jacket Field served as the venue for the contest, which marked the fourth meeting between the teams this season. Earlier the same day, the Cowgirls fell 4-1 to the Yellow Jackets.
DeLaTrinidad contributed two hits in four at-bats and scored one run.
The Cowgirls are scheduled to play their next game Saturday, March 14, at 12 p.m. at Brandt Field against Colorado Mesa Mavericks.
