On April 14, 2025, Vargas criticized former President Donald Trump, stating that “Trump is ignoring the Supreme Court and saying he wants to deport U.S. citizens too. Enough of the lawlessness. The following day, April 15, 2025, Vargas shifted his focus towards Social Security, pointing a finger at Trump and Elon Musk. I’ll keep fighting to stop these devastating cuts from becoming a reality.”
Juan Vargas, 62, was born in National City, California, and currently resides in San Diego. He replaced previous U.S Congress member Bob Filner in 2013.
